Centenary Camp

We are Cub Scouts from 1st West

We wear scarlet 'cos we're the best.

We went on camp at the end of May

The Beavers joined us for the day.

Skip has a hed like a ping-pong ball

We reminded him when we left the hall.

It was Adam's birthday, he's 22

We all sang 'Happy Birthday to You'.

1st West's new tents are the best of them all

The other groups' tents were full of holes.

We follow Akela wherever he goes

He makes us change our muddy clothes.

We had fun with 1st West Scouts

Then Trudi cooked them brussel sprouts.

We kept our distance for the rest of the day

Dived in our tents out of the way.

It always rains when we're on camp

When we get back we'll smell like tramps.

When the sun comes out to play

1st West pack their tents away.

Centenary camp was a laugh

But when we go home we'll need a bath.
